Overhead pipe lines
Seamless draft steel tube: mandatory, AFG B 521.0 or NE A 49.111 or NE A 45.115 recommended
Buried pipeline
Seamless draft steel tube with chemical and galvanic corrosion protection. Solacier or similar tube
Pipe lines in the gaseous phase:
Annealed copper tubes, plastic-sheathed types (wicu or similar) for buried pipe lines with chemical corrosion and stray current protection. AFG B 524.1 or AFG B 524.6 recommended
Cold-rolled copper tubes
For overhead pipe lines
AFG N 524.1 or NF A 511.20 or AFG B 524.6 or NFA 51.124 recommended
Seamless draft steel tubes, solacier or similar type
For buried pipe lines
AFG N 521.0 or NFA 49.111 or NFA 49.115 recommended
Seamless draft steel tubes
For overhead pipe lines protected by three coats of paint of which the first is rust-resistant. AFG N 521.0 or NFA 49.111 or NFA 49.115 recommended
High-density polyethylene tubes (HDPE) maximum working pressure of 4 bars. For pipe lines buried in trenches only and outside of all buildings.
AFG PE.63 or NF T 54.065 recommended
Electro-weldable device NF T 54.066 standards
Pliable coupling hoses for mobile appliances (gas cooker, washing machine, etc.) Pliable elastomer tubes (5-year working life)
Reinforced collapsible hoses with hose bibb (10-year working life) Collapsible hoses with metal carcass (unlimited working life)
