Reinforced concrete “cradle” blocks
Views: 4460
Tanks not equipped with legs are positioned on cradle blocks.
Prefabricated metal cradles that are positioned on concrete blocks to support the tank exist. These cradles can either be soldered on the walls of the tank or screwed on tank wall support brackets.
Cradle diameter must exceed that of the tank by 4 to 5 mm. Provide a 4 to 5mm thick rubber mat or bituminous canvas.
This mat or canvas is not only meant to espouse small-sized deformations but, more importantly, to avoid corrosion of the tank walls positioned on the concrete cradle.
